Does Believe Music Publishing support the use of AI in songwriting?

Believe supports creative innovation, including the responsible use of AI tools as part of the songwriting process.

However, the works we represent must be substantially created by human songwriters. Compositions generated entirely by AI are currently not afforded copyright protection and therefore cannot be registered with CMOs and are therefore not eligible for representation or royalty collection within the publishing ecosystem.

Licensed AI tools may assist the creative process, but the resulting work must remain a human-authored composition.
